Color. It is a visual language that can inform, arouse and inspire. It can make us feel. And can even affect the way we act. Try to imagine seeing a sunset in back and white. It's not just difficult, the picture is also somehow empty. Because color is a big part of the way human beings experience life. And because color transcends spoken and written language, it's an invaluable tool in communication. Actually more like a secret weapon-because of its effect one our subconscious.
When a brand or corporation develops a logo, it communicates a particular identity. It says "This is my symbol. My color. This is who I am". Designed properly, that symbol and color will evoke a host of associations and feelings in the viewer. More than that, the visual can tap into receptors that are directly linked to behavior. For instance, a famous chewing gum company conducted a study regarding the effect of its packaging on consumers.
One particular shade of green on the spearmint package seemed to telegraph how the gum would taste. The message was clear and pleasant-and consumers bought the gum. However, if the shade of green changed even slightly, the message was obscured and people were not predisposed to buy.
This is just one small but important example of how powerful color can be. And of how critical color management is in maintaining exact control over color.
Today companies are quick to realize the multi-million dollar value of linking a color to a product.

Securing a brand color is more important than ever before because of the increasing use of global advertising and marketing communications.

The best way to go is to create and preserve the color integrity of every brand.
